How long do withdrawals take?

The timeframes we provide take into account the time it takes to value your KiwiSaver investment and sell units of your fund.

Most types of initial withdrawal (with the exception of withdrawals due to significant financial hardship) take up to 10 working days to be paid out to your nominated bank account, as the IRD needs to approve any government contribution amounts to be released. Subsequent withdrawals generally take 3-4 working days.
